Bringing History to Life

I've been working on a seriously cool project in collaboration with Swaffham Museum who opened their new exhibition this weekend celebrating 800 years of Swaffham Market. I was commissioned to create a story board of the local folktale of the Pedlar of Swaffham and a set of Story Stones for sale in the museum shop and for use in their educational workshops with children. The project was really interesting to work on, as I was able to brush up on English Folklore and work in completely new ways.

The exhibition was opened on the 4th July by British Actor, Comedian and Writer Stephen Fry who I was super excited to see had played with my illustrations:

I was so pleased with how the Pedlar Story Stones came together and love the fact that my Story Stones can now be used to bring history to life in a fun and engaging way for children (and adults!)

If you are interesting in commissioning a unique set of Poppit's Cupboard Story Stones, I'd love to hear from you
