Story Stones Bag

So in true form, rather than doing things I'm SUPPOSED to be doing....I've spent the day procrastinating by making some more story stones and a little drawstring bag to hold them:

Note to self: having fluffed the bag several times (including sewing the top shut!) perhaps a little research before embarking on a new project is worthwhile!

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE:
Jan 2012: Due to some interest in these little guys, I've decided to make some more kits for sale. You can find more details about how to purchase your own Story Stone Kit here or more about my story stones here...it's become quite the adventure!

Thanks for all the encouragement!

  4. Wonderful Idea! Teachers would love these if they could be made to go along with the books they read in their classrooms. I know I would buy them and they are beautifully done.

  5. I am an Exceptional Children's teacher and I teach multiple grade levels. Those story stones could be used as an awesome writing center. In a small group the kids could divide the stones and take turns helping to write a story using hte pictures on the stones. If you decide to sell them let me know, and if you dont want to sell if you could let me know how you make them... Thanks for sharing your ideas!

  7. Do you sell the bags of plain stones. I am interested in using for work anniversary party instead of a guest register.

  13. Your English is very good! :-D

Yes…Story Stones are perfect for 4/5 year olds. I do not recommend them for under 3 (choking hazard) but even my 2 year old loves to play with hers (closely supervised).
